Nothing is more important to us than that our customers' money is in safe hands. Here you can read about everything related to your security as a P.F.C. customer; everything from how you can block your card, to what legal requirements we are obligated to meet to ensure your safety.

Identification with BankID

Using the P.F.C. app is safe since you always log in with BankID. When you are logged in and chat with customer service in the app, we can help you with your personal matters quickly and easily. Remember that we will never call and ask you to verify yourself with BankID over the phone.

If you lose your card

With P.F.C. you don’t have to wait in a phone queue, instead you can simply block the card directly in the app. If you find the card again you can unlock it just as easily. You can also choose to order a new card that will arrive at your home within a few days. With Premium, you can also choose to block the card only for withdrawals or internet purchases, for extra security when you need it.

If you have been a victim of fraud

If you suspect that you have been a victim of fraud or discover unauthorized transactions on your card or account it is important that you act quickly and always contact us! You can also temporarily block the card yourself directly in the app Read more here >

Please note that digital connections (such as between Apple Pay/ Google Pay) are not affected by the physical card being blocked, which means that it is always important that you contact us so that we can help you. You can contact us via the chat while logged in in the app. In that way, we can see that you are identified with BankID and can help you with your case more quickly.

If someone has gained access to your personal BankID, you must immediately block it by contacting the bank that has issued your BankID.

Deposit guarantee

The money you have on your P.F.C.-account is covered by a deposit guarantee since it is kept in a client account with a Swedish bank. Your money is therefore invested with an accounting obligation and is kept separate from our own funds in accordance with the Act on accounting funds (1944:181). Your money is therefore safe with us.

The Financial Supervisory Authority

P.F.C. is a Payment Institution according Payment Services Act (2010:751) on and is under the supervision of Sweden’s Financial Supervisory Authority.

Mastercard® 3D Secure

The P.F.C.-card is connected to Mastercard® 3D Secure, which means that you can shop with the card online safely and securely.

Claims and complaints

If you have not received the goods that you have ordered, it is important that you always contact the merchant in the first instance to try to resolve the problem directly. Remember to save all documentation such as receipts, order- and delivery confirmations. We also recommend that any contact you have with the merchant is in writing, as it can be an important basis in the event of a complaint.

Your P.F.C.-card is issued by Mastercard and they have rules and limits for claims and complaints. Therefore, any claim or complaint should reach us as soon as possible.

Unauthorized transactions

If you discover a transaction or a withdrawal on your card or account that you do not recognize, it is important that you immediately block the card and file a police report. You also need to contact the merchant to try to solve the problem directly. We recommend that all contact you have with the merchant takes place in writing, as it can be an important basis in the event of a complaint. You must also contact us and make a complaint according to our terms and conditions if there has been an unauthorized transaction on your card or account.

Your P.F.C.-card is issued by Mastercard and they have rules about time limits for claims and complaints. Therefore, any claim or complaint should reach us as soon as possible.

Frequently asked questions

How do I block my card?

You can easily block your card for transactions by freezing it in the app. Click on “Your card” and choose “Block card temporarily”. Then it is temporarily not possible to use the card and if you subsequently order a new card, your old card will be blocked permanently.

Why do I have to log in to the app to get help with my question?

In order for us to be able to help you with personal matters and questions, we need access to your customer data to ensure your identity. Therefore, you need to log in with your mobile BankID and contact us via the chat in the app. Your information is also covered by so called bank secrecy, which means that we may not disclose about you or that you are a customer of ours to anyone else. We therefore need to ensure that it is the right person we are talking to before we can process your case.

What is 3D Secure?

Mastercard 3D Secure is a security measure so that you, as a card holder, can shop more safely and feel secure that no one else is using your card. We offer the latest version of 3D Secure, which means that you verify all your purchases online with BankID.

Is it safe to pay with Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Yes, it is safe to pay with the card via Apple and Google Pay. The technology used means that your card details are protected by several layers of security. When you make a purchase via Apple or Google Pay, your card details are not stored on your device, nor are they shared with the merchant.

Who is behind P.F.C?

P.F.C. is a service launched by PFC Technology AB, which is a Payment Institution according to Payment Services Act (2010:751) on payment services and is under the supervision of Sweden’s Financial Supervisory Authority. PFC Technology AB is owned by Svea Bank AB.
